The Memorial Society of Georgia is a non-profit, all volunteer organization that helps ensure citizens of Georgia have access to simple, dignified, and economical funeral (burial or cremation) options with crystal clear service selections. As a membership organization, we fulfill our mission by working with a network of reputable funeral/cremation providers (“Cooperating Funeral Directors”) to lock in low member rates for specific service packages. We also strive to ensure that Georgia citizens have access to accurate information about their rights and options about end-of-life arrangements.
We do NOT provide financial assistance for funeral services.
Incorporated in 1973, the Society is democratically controlled by its members and directed by a volunteer Board of Directors elected annually by the membership. Through our affiliation with the national Funeral Consumer Alliance (FCA), we have arrangements for reciprocal exchange of services and transfer of membership to FCA affiliates in other states.
